Just the other day I had to show a jr. high girl how to
serve a volleyball over the net. There are four simple steps to serve. I used a
“do as I do” strategy, I explained and demonstrated and she mimicked what I
did. First you show them the steps without using a ball, then when they are
ready add a ball into the mix. To teach this skill required a bit of patience
and encouragement.
