Nash Equilibrium – interacting with different groups of people
Game Theory – how the strategies people use affect the outcome
Prisoner Dilemma – the outcome of something depends on the person’s choice
Serendib Experience
After playing this game I didn’t quite understand it. I couldn’t see much pint in playing it. Either you choose to cooperate or compete with the wizard. If you do choose to compete you are always risking it but you could win the round. If you both choose to cooperate, then you both get the same amount of coins. The first time I played I cooperated every time and we tied at 36 the second time I played, I mostly competed and I won 21 to 16.

Election Reflection

The election is finally over and I am relieved. I learned that an election is a very stressful time and lots of big decisions are made. Hillary is a crook and is being investigated by the FBI and Trump is millions of dollars in debt and doesn’t like to pay taxes. I didn’t learn a whole lot about issues because the candidates were too busy bashing each other instead of telling us what they will do in office. Basically I learned that they hate each other and I personally don’t like them either. What I got from how the elections are run, is you tell the people what they want to here and you campaign in the big states were you need electoral votes. I am not a big political person so I don’t have much of an opinion about it to begin with so it hasn’t really changed. What I understand is really that the electoral votes are what matter, not so much the popular vote. I think the whole system is just a little bit screwed up.
Here are ten things I predict will happen while Trump is in office:
1.       Good relations with Russia
2.       Bad relations with China
3.       Stricter immigration laws
4.       Building a wall
5.       He plans to clean up Washington
6.       Repealing Obamacare
7.       Promoting school choice
8.       Imposing term limits on Congress
9.       Renegotiate NAFTA

10.   Cancel all federal funding to Sanctuary Cities

Who Am I?

Who am I? I am a teenage girl who is a senior in high school. My favorite color is blue and my favorite food is tacos. I am quite short and I wouldn’t want it any other way, it has it pros and cons but for the most part I love it. You could say I am an athlete and actively involved in school activities. I am a proud Christian and try to live that out in my daily life. I can be shy and also very loud and obnoxious. I feel that I have a unique personality and stand out from everybody else. I like to enjoy the simple things in life, like how bright the stars can be and the smell of the season or the way I can make my friends smile. My favorite season is autumn and my favorite holiday is Halloween. Scary movies are by far the best, the more gore and terror the better. I love almost all the movie genres but horror is my all-time favorite. I have a passion for cheerleading and supporting our team. People don’t know this about me but I actually really love to write, I like to write down my thoughts and things that come to my mind. I am a true red-head and am blessed with this natural color, people always tell me never to dye it. I like to have fun and love to dance at random times. I am a person who smiles a lot and is happy most of the time. In the winter sweatshirts are my best friend and keep me cozy warm. I have two black labs and one cat, and downstairs there are aquariums of fish. I look forward to graduating and starting a new chapter in my life, I’m really excited. It’s hard to really tell you who I am, because I am so many things. Honestly who I am is your own personal opinion, because you may think I am someone different than who I think I am. Sometimes I put too much thought into things and over-analyze, which I’m probably doing with this assignment. I am who I am and I don’t plan on changing that for anyone.

28th Amendment

28th Amendment
I think we should have a do-over amendment. This would come in handy in some election years. The people don't want their country in the hands of the wrong person. This is what I think it should say.

Do-over

In the case of poor choice of presidential nominees, if 2/3 of the American people vote for neither nominee, there will be a new election. New nominees will be able to run and try to persuade the people to vote for them. This amendment however may only happen once in each election, giving the people a better choice.

Trump is a Sociopath

In my opinion Donald Trump is both a sociopath and a narcissist. He treats people horribly and has absolutely no filter. He doesn’t honestly have much moral responsibility, he is just crazy. Trump is one of, in not the most, selfish person I know of. He is unfair, rude, and downright awful. He really only cares about himself, and I don’t think he truly wants to make America great again, he just wants to be in control and have power. The comments he makes are terrible and unjust, he never thinks before he speaks. I hope he never becomes president, if he does then God help us all.
Trump needs to worry about his campaign and how he plans to help America more than verbal attacking his competitor. The debate between him and Hillary Clinton was awful, half the time he had no point to what he was talking about. He just babbled on and on and always seemed to come back to some snide comment about Hillary.

Donald Trump is just an evil little man and I would hate to see him run the wonderful United States of America. One way or another he would end up getting us into a war with another country, which is something that we don’t need. His integrity is terrible and needs to change. He never has anything nice to say, just harsh unnecessary rude comments about people. I think he is obsessed with himself; he had a 6 foot portrait made of himself. The man even said he would date his own daughter if she wasn’t his. Donald is self-centered and full of himself, and needs to treat people with some respect. I hope no one in their right mind votes for Donald Trump. America needs all the luck we can get.

9th and 10th Amendment

The 9th amendment is about unenumerated rights. People have certain rights not listed in the constitution, they are just a given that you have these rights. Like the right to get married, it isn’t in the constitution but you have that right. It was created on September 5, 1789. Today it is used to stop the government from increasing their power.

The 10th amendment is a lot like the 9th, the main difference is it protects the states’ rights not listed in the constitution.  This amendment is still used quite a bit today, and comes in handy too. It was ratified on December 15, 1791. This amendment is widely used today.

Learning Blog

Just the other day I had to show a jr. high girl how to serve a volleyball over the net. There are four simple steps to serve. I used a “do as I do” strategy, I explained and demonstrated and she mimicked what I did. First you show them the steps without using a ball, then when they are ready add a ball into the mix. To teach this skill required a bit of patience and encouragement.

Colin Kaepernick

I believe people getting away with murder and people getting paid leave has absolutely nothing to do with the oppression of black people. Colin Kaepernick is choosing to not stand for the national anthem because he feels blacks are oppressed, but here he is playing in the National Football League. Black people have the same rights as any other race in America; they are treated fairly and equally. I believe that some people blow things out of proportion and make a big deal at of some simple little thing. Kaepernick won’t stand and show pride for his country that he thinks oppresses blacks, but blacks alongside so many other Americans go overseas and fight for all of our freedom.

In my opinion he is doing this all just for attention. We all know he won’t be playing much this season so he needs to attract attention to him somehow, and what better way to do it than not stand for the national anthem. He is making a huge deal out of nothing and it is just ridiculous. I understand that he has the right to show respect for our flag or to not, and no one can tell him he has to stand. I think that if you are an American you should want to show respect for the flag and for all the privileges and rights we have as Americans. You should show respect for those who lost their lives, blacks and whites, for our great country.

No matter how you feel about America you should still respect it and show that respect. No matter what race you are, you are American. We all unite as Americans and should stand together and support each other not cause problems with each other. Black lives do matter but so do everyone else’s.

I’m interested in studying psychology because it will give me a new outlook on things. I want to dig deep into why we do things and how certain things affect us. How one word can just trigger a response from people interests me. I want to learn what causes us to react to specific things. I think we are going to analyze a lot in this class and I hope to take stuff away from this. One reason why I took this class is because I like the way that Mr. Reints teaches and how he gets our attention, I actually get interested and invested in what he talks about. I am excited to learn about psychology and what it is. This class I believe should be fun and educational at the same time. I think we are going to make a lot of memories in this class just knowing us. I would like to learn more about hypnotism like how it works and how it affects people. It is really mind blowing how some people have the skill to control what you do just by the snap of their fingers. I don’t know much about psychology but by the end of the semester I’m sure that will be a different story.
